Best known for working on the design for The Shard, the tallest tower in Western Europe, engineer and broadcaster Roma Agrawal turns her attention to smaller things as she joins us for this member-exclusive online event. In this fascinating talk, Roma will tell us how small and seemingly simple inventions like the nail, wheel, magnet, spring and lens – even string – were invented and how they ended up having a deep and lasting impact on humanity.
