Come face to face with nature at Chester Zoo
Discover 30,000 animals from over 500 species as you explore 130 acres of award-winning zoological gardens. Chester Zoo is the UK’s most visited zoo and an unforgettable day out for visitors of all ages, filled with wildlife, wonder and conservation in action.
Step into Heart of Africa, a vast 22-acre grassland habitat inspired by Central and East Africa. Watch giraffe, zebra, ostrich and antelope roam together across sweeping savannah plains, alongside smaller species like aardvarks, porcupines and pygmy mice. You’ll also find more than 30 vibrant bird species, including greater flamingos and black-cheeked lovebirds, while Hidden Savannah introduces you to Africa’s tiniest residents, from chameleons to naked mole rats.
Then wander through Madagascar, a walkthrough habitat where four species of lemurs leap freely among visitors, or head to Monsoon Forest, the UK’s largest tropical biodome, home to Sumatran orangutans, crocodiles and free-flying birds. From snow leopards and elephants to meerkats and orangutans, every corner of the zoo is alive with incredible creatures and immersive experiences.

Additional TicketsNeed a few more spaces for friends or extended family? No problem. If you’d like to purchase extra tickets beyond your five subsidised member tickets, we can offer them at a slightly discounted rate: £28 per adult and £20 per child. These additional tickets do not receive the full Boundless subsidy but still represent excellent value compared to standard entry prices. |

Chester Zoo is located just off the A41, three miles north of Chester city centre. Follow the brown tourist signs from all major routes.
Free parking is available for all visitors in the main car parks.
Go directly to the main entrance and present your Boundless e-ticket for entry. There is no need to check in with a Boundless team on this occasion.
Yes, Boundless members can book tickets for up to four guests (including children) within their allocation at the Boundless member prices.
The zoo is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with last entry at 4:00 pm.
